We did not have electricity for 30 hours. Dammit. But anywaaaaay :P
Fete last Saturday was fun! Though hindi kasing fun and dynamic like last year, nag-enjoy pa rin naman ako! The rain that night was unpredictable! We had to run from the Music Hall hanggang sa "Pop, R&B and Alternative" stage. Yehh!
The bands weren't that many unlike (yes, compare again) last year. Pero okay naman.. Napasayaw pa din ako! Haha. Chubibo, Sino Sikat, Brigada, and Taken by Cars were the bands which still has a memory in me. :)
Thanks to Aie, Karen, Markee, Pat, Abhie, Bochang, J3 and Pat Pelayo. :) I've never thanked these many people because of Fete! Well, the more the many-er sabi nga ni Aie! Hahaha.
And sorry Terno peeps I wasn't at Inferno that night. Honestly, gusto ko talaga. But there were conflicts with my schedule. I left Fete mga 12mn, I had to go.. I wouldn't want to leave Inferno that early naman, so yun.

Sunday, I woke up earlier than expected because of the sound of the rain. Wala kaming kuryente so expectedly, candle lit lunch. Come dinner time, the family dined outside kasi hassle kung sa bahay. With only 2 establishments in Alabang open at 10pm, we had to choose between Pizza Hut and Chowking.
My kuya's preferred Pizza Hut. But I wanted Chowking.. And I won! Bunso powers?! Bwahaha.

No classes today! BWAHAHA PAG-ASA. Nagsuspend ng klase wala naman ng bagyo! Ang taas taas kaya ng araw. Weather forecast?? BWAHAHA.
And today is Jake's bday! Last night I texted King and asked if they have electricity.. Meron daw, sabi ko pacharge ng phone. Ok daw tas inom kaming Strawberry wine kasama si Jake. Haha! I was supposed to go but I had no way. Zorry guyz :P

As a Creative Writing subject, our professor asked us to design our journal notebook to reflect our personality.
I covered mine with doodle, my lomographs, a Lomographic Embassy Manila and an Inksurge postcard, a baby picture wherein I'm holding in both hands a bun and puto, and a cut-out of piled books which I got from a teen magazine.
I gave all effort covering mine since a.) The subject's a major. b.) I love covering things the artsy fartsy way and c.) I love writing and ta-dah it's a Creative Writing subject.
But no for blood and sweat because a.) I still like keeping things simple (no to overdoing) b.) I did not want to show-off and c.) I really do not like my prof-slash-our course's department head.
This morning's meeting was the purr-fect time to present my covered journal to the whole class. My classmates should describe me thru my journal's cover.
Our professor called me and I stood in the middle holding my journal with eyes intact on the audience.
As I soon as I was there, adjectives filled the room..
'Artistic!'
'Creative!'
'Passionate!'
'Unique!'
My professor took a closer look and said "Oh Lomography. Does anyone know, aside from you, Mayee, what Lomography is?".
I know my classmates have an idea, but... Silence.
"Mayee, what is Lomography?" my professor asked.
"Ma'am, it's analog photography." I answered.
"And what is analog photography?" she answered back.
"It's photography that uses film, Ma'am. Doing it the old school way" I said with a downright irritated tone.
Classmates started to throw adjectives again.
'She likes traveling!'
'Lomographer siya!'
AGAIN, my professor commented..
'I can see a pile of books. Why, do you make books?'
'UHH, NO MA'AM. I just like reading them like you.' I answered back with a sarcastic tone.
With all respect, my professor does not have any point of asking me those questions. Was she trying to be funny? Was she bringing up interest? I have no freakin' idea!
And another adjective came in..

Ah yes! I smiled.
For the 278478459th time I was home alone on a Friday night. Well, it's really nothing to brag about.. I think it's nice since I get to have some 'me' or 'rediscovering' time. Being home alone means having everything and anything all to myself! Bwahaha.
I got my mom's old brushes from her College of FA days and my brushes from my high school art classes. I saw the stock of oil and poster paint under my study plus some oslo paper dated years ago. And there I was.. I was back to painting! Though putting my ideas collaborative in mind was kinda hard, I enjoyed every moment of it. Ohh paint on my hands! What a pretty sight :)Next was playing the dear piano! Gee, I missed that instrument. It's out of tune so yeah, the chords and melodies I played was weird. But it felt great, I can play any tune as loud as I can! I played some blues and some classicals. I also read some notes and it was an effort!---oOo---
Saturday, I had class. After a few years I'm back to studying on a Saturday. I remember having Saturday classes only when we had to keep up from suspended classes due to heavy rains. We were dismissed early and I had to meet up with King. It was isaw day! But the foo was playing basketball I had to sacrifice a few hours of hunger and wait for him to finish his game. We then picked-up Karen at BF and walked our way to the ever famous esau-wan. That two, with Janlor missing, truly brings out the laughing hyena out of me.---oOo---
Sunday was okay. Oh! Placid's video for ABS-CBN's flag campaign is already out! Wow. It was all sweat and hard work :D
And this morning I had an argument with my dog, Cow, who wanted to get out of her cage.Cow: Arf!Me: No.Cow: Arfff!
Me: No.

So much for master-pet relationship.
I'm sick. I'm down with a cough, flu and fever. Yesterday I was okay.. Very okay. But I just lost my energy after dinner. I hate it.
Though the good side is, I slept early.

I got this text in my Smart number 11:00 am of April 20.. I was able to read it the following day since I really don't check the sim. When I read it, the sender's name did not appear.. And after a few seconds, I opened my inbox again and saw that it was from my HS bass teacher, Sir Bob.I was shocked, I didn't know what to say. I grabbed my other phone and immediately texted the boys, King, Jake and Pings.. "Uy nagtext ba sa inyo si Sir Bob kahapon? Anong nangyari sa kanya? Ngayon ko lang nabasa e.."Upon reading the message, I knew that something was wrong.. And despite of the message cut short, I knew that "can" is cancer.None of the guys replied. I decided to text my teacher instead with high hopes of getting positive answers. "Hi Sir Bob! Mayee here. I'm sorry I only read your message now.. How are you? I hope you're doing well. God bless."There was a quick reply.."Hi Mayee! For a cancer victim, I'm doing great! It's just cancer and God can raise the dead.. Keep me in your prayers."The second to the last sentence made me realize that it is Sir Bob. He is still the same bass teacher I know and love.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - o 0 o - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Sir Bob is my 2nd father.. He can be a guy bitch but I do not care. He call the guys (my fellow guitar classmates) names and luckily, I did not get one. He'll call me "Ms. Gonzales" when my bass is out of tune or when I'm in the wrong beat or note. And I actually look forward to that yell. It yells discipline. He also never forgets to remind us about the main reason why we are in school. Studies. He help us in our subjects, especially Physics (He's a Math and Science genius!) and never failed to remind us about the rest of our academics and, uhm, school behavior.He'll talk to us when something personal comes up.. He can read our minds, he said it reflects on our playing. And it's true. Aside from being a 2nd father, he's our kabarkada. Right after hours of practice for a show or recital, our class would go to the sari-sari store and eat Boy Bawang and drink Coke Sakto. Sir Bob was a Coke addict, he loves getting cans of Coke for his birthday :) Along with the 'picnic', some chikahan comes in, and that's where all the fun is!I even remember him calling us up during Saturdays just to watch Steve Vai and Victor Wooten videos! Haha. My Santana live concert dvd is still with him, but I guess he can have it. He gave me advice, very very good advice. I remember him telling me after a performance " I'm proud of the way you performed tonight.. It was way out of expectations! Keep it up, okay? And stay level headed." He even told me "Continue your practice.. Good bass players nowadays are hard to find. Especially girls who unusually pick up the instrument."I can't say I'm his favorite. He never played favorites. Maybe I just have special treatment 'cause I'm the only girl in class. And you know, I never carried an amp.. Just my guitar. Hehe. He pursued my bass playing.. He did not want me to stop even after graduating HS. But I failed him.. I did. I actually stopped. The thought of not having him as my bass teacher and not being able to perform with the guys disappointed me. It's my own fault, I know.

And I guess it's time for me to give back to him all of his favors..With his text I replied.."Wow! Nice to hear that! It's great to know that you're okay! You know maybe we should have a get-together, I'll inform the guys. Matagal na po namin kayong hindi nakikita! Would love to catch up! Take care sir :)"And another quick reply.."Great idea on the get-together! Count me in.. Just let me know where and when."All of my worries went away after that short chat with him. He's so positive.. He keeps his faith on high and don't let his sickness bring him down. It's the same Sir Bob I know. He fights, he lives on what he say.For everyone who knows him and actually had the chance to be with him, this is the time he needs us. It's always us looking for him, asking for something and through constant prayers I know he will be well, very well that he'll be able to show us his bass slapping skills again! And I look forward to that. We all know that prayers are powerful :)

I'm here in Makati for the whole week.. Actually I'm here kasi nanuod ako ng Sean Kingston sa Glorietta kagabi. Free naman siya kaya ang fun. Kaya lang late ako dumating kaya 'di ko na napanuod nung pinerform niya yung 'Beautiful Girls'. Sayang! JOKE LANG. Hahaha. I told Siops that same reason yesterday at ang nasabi niya lang.. "Seryoso??" I wonder what his facial expression was then. Hahaha. I'm kidding, people. Sean Kingston is a living Coffe Bun. I'm kidding, again. Seriously I'm here because of this Southern Lomo thing in Greenbelt. And if I don't leave now.. I'm gonna be late. And I'm online because I'm needed. It feels good. I've known Hot Chip for some years now though I don't listen to their music all the time. Their songs will suddenly play in my playlist which makes me go "Uy Hot Chip!". They also had a very good attracting fun dancey impressive fashown performance at the David Letterman show's last week.You're my #1, #1 god!I've been staying up until 7am this past few days.. Well, since I got home from Makati. It's all tv, dvd, art and music. Internet, too.. I listen to freaky music at around 3am to scare myself. Hahaha.18-in-1 pirated dvd compilations rocks. April 5: Happy birthday pa din Nanay! Family celebration, disizit. Kakadaldal ko about food kumain tuloy kami sa labas. Sa may Dencio's sa Ayala.. Nag-Mcdonald's pa kami pagkatapos (kami lang ni Nanay) kasi gusto ko ng Green Apple Float.
Noong gabi nagpunta akong album launch ng Paramita. Hip-happening! Saglit lang ako.. Haha. Thanks sa kanila sa free album. Haha. Ang saya :D

April 7: Good bye Makats, hello dirty south! Nag-shuttle ako pauwi tas nakakainis kasi mas matagal pa yung paghihintay kesa sa byahe.
April 8: Back to school kiddo! Pub meeting. Sobrang informal, sa ilalim lang kami ng puno sa may Inner Circle nag-usap. Ang daming tao sa school, mga mage-enroll. Hindi ako magsusummer class!!
Nagtrip kami ni Karen ng kung anu-ano. Food trip lalo na. Walang hiyang Mong Kok sa town. Ang sarap at sobrang bigat sa tiyan. Haha. 'Di lang kumpleto kasi 'di ako nakapag-kwek kwek.
Ito din yung araw na, "I didn't expect to see you!".
April 9: School pa din. 11:30 am na ako nagising buti 1pm yung meeting. Ang sarap pala talaga matulog.. Kahit kulang pa din after all.
Tas pag-uwi ko ang saya saya saya ko kasi dumating na yung Digiprint Pro Card ko tas ang ganda ng card nakaka-whoa na nakaka-proud. Lalo na dahil sa nakuha ko yun dahil sa Lomo Manila!
Tas wala.. Wala akong magawa. Birthday ng kuya ko bukas! Yehey! Ang daming may birthday buti na lang summer.
Eh kaya lang wala ka namang sapat na moolah. Haha.
School is officially over. I've waited for this day for weeks and now all I want to do is sleep. Haha. My freshman year seemed so fast! It started well and ended best. I thought of quitting college.. Kidding.I thought of transferring school.. Yes.The past few weeks were very confusing. I won Secretary from 1st year level representative for our batch org and got promoted as Sports Writer from a Staff Writer in the publications. I also had to divide my time for school, extra-curriculars, work and leisure. It felt like carrying a very heavy load in your back. I slept with an average of 4 hours a day and at at the same time made sure that I accomplish everything I have to do.And now that load's gone :)But I still sleep with an average of 4 hours a day.My body clock sucks big time.On the lighter side of things, the blessing of our publications office went well yesterday. It was followed by a meeting which I didn't know and actually caused pressure for my 6pm social dance.I had to rush my dress, make-up (I eventually learned how to apply some, thanks to my blockmates :P) and brothers. Haha. I always pressure my brothers when I'm rushing. The dance turned out very very very very good! We won 1st place! Talk about luck+fun fun fun! Our dance was very simple but we kept in mind that having fun is the most important of all. :)A snapshot from last night!
